ERGOVENT diffusers’ installation instructions

ERGOVENT diffusers can help hide air conditioning systems when used with Fan-coil units. The windspeeds are lower, making the A/C quieter and air is distributed more evenly across the room when RONDO models are placed in different corners of the room.

ERGOVENT diffusers can be successfully connected to any standard duct system with 100 mm, 125 mm, or 160 mm diameter. If steel ducts are used, the diffuser can be connected directly to the duct or via a flexible connection. If a flexible 75 mm plastic duct system is used, the diffuser is connected via a standard plenum box or special ERGOVENT plenum box.

POSSIBLE DIFFUSER CONNECTIONS AND CORRESPONDING INSTALLATION METHODS

OPTION 1:

CONNECTION: via a flexible corugated pipe
AIR DUCT SYSTEM: metal ducts

OPTION 2:

CONNECTION: via a plenum box (metal/plastic)
CEILING CONDITION: plasterboards are not attached
AIR DUCT SYSTEM: 75 mm plastic ducts

OPTION 3:

CONNECTION: via a plenum box (metal/plastic pipe)
CEILING CONDITION: plasterboards are attached
AIR DUCT SYSTEM: 75 mm plastic ducts

DIMENSIONS REQUIRED FOR A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION

Steel ducts. Direct connection

Steel ducts. Flexible corrugated pipe connection

75 mm plastic ducts. Standard plenum box connection.

INSTALLATION METHODS
Here we will show all possible diffuser connection situations.

OPTION 1
DIRECT CONNECTION TO A STEEL DUCT

OPTION 2
VIA A FLEXIBLE CORRUGATED PIPE (steel duct system)

Diffusers can be connected to steel ducts also via a corrugated flexible duct. This is a very simple way

OPTION 3
CONNECTION THROUGH A DIFFUSER BOX BEFORE THE PLASTERBOARDS ARE ATTACHED

If flexible plastic ducts (75 mm diameter) are used for the ventilation system, the diffusers are connected via a plenum box.

OPTION 4
INSTALLATION AFTER THE PLASTERBOARDS HAVE BEEN ATTACHED

If the ceiling plasterboard is already installed and ventilation ducts are cut flush with the surface of the gypsum ceiling, Ergovent diffuser is installed this way:

OPTION 5
CONNECTION THROUGH THE A LOW-PROFILE BOX

The low-profile ERGOVENT diffuser plenum box makes it possible to install the diffuser in a space measuring just 14 cm (from the slab to the plasterboard ceiling surface).

AIR FLOW REGULATION

The diffuser cover must always be level with the ceiling. Each diffuser comes with a convenient ERGOVENT balancing valve. If there is a need to additionally regulate the air flow, we recommend using these dampers.

LINEO PRO LINE INSTALLATION

ERGOVENT LINEO PRO LINE is intended for mechanical ventilation systems. Diffusers have an air flow balancing velve. Aerodynamic air valve is inside the diffuser and can be conveniently controled from the outside.
